Caribbean Inspirational Gospel Show 2012

Tigress
This was truly a celebration of Trinidad & Tobago's 50th Anniversary through Gospel and Steel Pan and the show was spectacular. We were blessed and entertained with the wonderful music of Tigress, Sister Bev, and Reverend Patti. These women of God were outstanding as they took the audience on a beautiful spiritual journey.  The Entertainer, Damion Melville of  WACK Radio 90.1FM of our beloved Trinidad and Tobago was Master of Ceremonies along with DJ Vince.

Who said you cannot have comedy in a gospel show? Well Damion Melville had the crowd laughing hysterically as he went down memory lane with how things used to be back in the day in Trinidad & Tobago.  He reminded the mostly Trinidadian-American audience of things they do not share with their American born children. It was pure comic relief.

The Long Beach Steel Drum School students did a phenomenal job with their selections.  Special thanks to Derek Brewster who is the steel band teacher and music arranger.  We must acknowledge Professional Drummer, fondly known as Brother Rock, brought his unbelievable drummer skills with the steel band and they produced beautiful spiritual music.  It must be mentioned that Brother Rock has a beautiful voice and when he sang, it was a pore raiser. Young Zionne Nunez was awesome with his rendition of "Portrait of Trinidad & Tobago" through spoken word.

Every individual who gave of their time to perform at the show helped to make it a great success.

Special thanks to the collaboration of UEOSB and CFTT for organizing a true Caribbean Gospel Experience.

Steel Pan Palooza presented by NAMM

The Long Beach School of Steel Drums had the great honor of performing at the NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center on Sunday, January 17, 2010.  Our performance began at 9:00 am on the ACC Lobby Main Stage and was billed as "Steel Pan Palooza presented by NAMM."

This is what the NAMM website expressed regarding day four of the convention activities: "Prior to show opening, the lobby was filled with the music of Steel Pan Palooza, as another day of live performances began throughout the convention center."
